Traditional lasers can only penetrate a few millimeters below the surface of your skin. HALO is an innovative fractional laser that uses ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to go under the skin to provide the best results. Dr. Stark is able to provide a detailed laser treatment plan for you because the dual wavelengths offer more options to tailor a treatment plan that will work with your skin type. The dual wavelength lasers offer the following:

Ablative
Traditional lasers can only resurface about five percent of your skin. The HALO Laser can resurface 25 to 30 percent more areas of your skin than compared to other lasers because of its dual wavelength lasers.
Unlike other laser treatments, the HALO can be used on all skin types and even on delicate parts of the face. The HALO Laser can be used on the following places on your body:
The following skin conditions and blemishes are are treated by the HALO Laser:
The HALO Laser features a unique motion-tracking technology used to measure the areas you need treated. Even unseen skin imperfections are targeted deep within your skin’s layers to bring out glowing and radiant skin.
Prior to your laser treatment, you will be given a numbing cream, which takes 30 minutes for the topical anesthetic to dry before your treatment can begin. During your session you may also use ProNox for comfort.
Your entire HALO session will take about one depending on the number of areas needing treatment and the intensity of your laser session. Your skin is tracked section by section as the HALO device glides over your skin. The HALO system will beep to notify your aesthetic specialist your treatment is complete.
Your skin may feel slightly sensitive and like a sunburn. After the procedure you will be given a post procedure regimen to follow. Recovery time depends on the session intensity. This can vary from 4-7 days. Most patients are able to apply make-up after the third day and resume daily activities. After seven days you will experience the HALO Glow.
Within 5-7 days post treatment, you will see a noticeable improvement and experience the HALO Glow in your skin. Results though don’t stop there over the course of the next three months your skin is producing new collagen and regenerating new growth to expose softer, more younger-looking skin.
You will see a stark difference in your skin with the revolutionary HALO Laser skin rejuvenation treatment. The HALO Laser works on all skin tones, types and issues, making HALO Laser a necessary tool to keep as part of your beauty regimen. Many patients say they hear popping and snapping sounds, but overall the treatment is not uncomfortable. After the procedure most people feel like they experience a sunburn on their face. This sensation lasts about an hour. This is minimized with a cool mask right after your procedure at StarkMD Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Center.
Risks using the HALO Laser are rare. Some after effects from your treatment include redness and swelling for a couple of days.
Initially, HALO treatments are more expensive than traditional laser sessions, but keep in mind, it would take three to four laser treatments with what one HALO treatment can accomplish. Additionally, the HALO results last longer, making HALO a more affordable option.
HALO treatments are cosmetic procedures. Medical insurance typically does not cover it. You can check with your medical provider, but StarkMD Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Center offers financing and payment options.
