What is HydraFacial?

StarkMD is proud to offer HydraFacial, a hydra-dermabrasion procedure. Only HydaFacial uses patented technology to cleanse, extract, and hydrate your skin. A study conducted in 2008 reported that patients receiving HydraFacial treatments had greater decreases in signs of skin aging compared with those who used serums alone because of the hydradermabrasion.

SKIN

At StarkMD Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center, we offer our patients one of the most popular treatments for skincare: The HydraFacial™. If your skin has lost its firmness and elasticity, is uneven in tone and vibrancy, has enlarged pores, has uneven texture, or other flaws, your skin care can be addressed with the help of this treatment. The HydraFacial makes it possible for our licensed medical aestheticians to customize your treatment to address an array of aesthetic skin issues.

How does HydraFacial work?

HydraFacial uses a unique, patented Vortex-Fusion delivery system to exfoliate, extract and hydrate skin, and the spiral design delivers painless extractions. Uniquely spiraled-designed HydroPeel® tips, used with the vacuum technology and the powerful serums, create the vortex to extricate and remove impurities from your skin, all the while, providing your skin with hydrating serums.

There are 3 key steps in the treatment of a HydraFacial:
Cleanse & Peel: uncover a new layer of skin with gentle exfoliation and relaxing resurfacing.
Extract & Hydrate: remove debris from pores with painless suction. Nourish with intense moisturizer that quench skin.
Fuse & Protect: saturate the skin’s surface with antioxidants and peptides to maximize your glow.

Feel like you need a boost?

There are different serums and boosters that can be added to your treatment. The boosts chosen by your aesthetician are geared towards an individual’s skin goals, which may include concerns like fine lines and wrinkles, dull skin, hyperpigmentation or enlarged pores. Your HydraFacial treatment is entirely customizable with the Boosters.

Dermabuilder Boost to minimize the signs of aging and recharge your skin with a combination of peptides. Growth Factor Boost to minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles to restore skin health and vitality. Britenol Boost to minimize the appearance of dark spots and sunspots for an even complexion.

Feel like you want a perk?

Your StarkMD Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center licensed medical aesthetician can further elevate your customized HydraFacial treatment by providing additional benefits to your lips and eyes. Included in your Perk is a take-home serum for daily application. With the HydraFacial Perk take-home serum, your skin will thank you for the daily dose of antioxidants that fight free radicals.

Why treat your delicate lip and eye to a Perk? The lips are some of the thinnest skin on your body and around the eyes is where you may show the first signs of aging. Let our medical aestheticians at StarkMD Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center revitalize and awaken these key areas using the patented roller-flex technology of the Perks. No worries about additional time for the Perk, it can be incorporated into your HydraFacial treatment. The Perks are designed for all skin types and require no downtime.

Feel like you need more light?

At StarkMD Plastic Surgery & Aesthetic Center, our licensed medical aestheticians can provide a short round of LED light therapy following your treatment, further customizing it to the patient’s skin care concerns and needs. There are two light options, with the blue LED reducing the swelling and inflammation that may be seen with acne, post-surgical, post-injections or sinus related. The red LED is an option when addresses anti-aging concerns to encourage the growth of collagen.

Am I a
candidate?

HydraFacial treatments are safe and effective for almost all skin types, as the treatment is gentle and non-invasive. For sensitive skin types, the water pressure from the Vortex-Fusion can be adjusted, so all can benefit from a HydraFacial. It is also safe to have a HydraFacial treatment the same day as your injectables appointment.

What to expect

The three key steps of a HydraFacial treatment typically take about 30-45 minutes to perform. Our licensed medical aestheticians can combine other services into your treatment, like dermaplaning.

A recommended treatment regimen for the HydraFacial can vary from a single session to every 4 weeks for maximum results. Our HydraFacial procedure is done in the office by one of our licensed medical aestheticians and is non-invasive. The HydraFacial can deliver immediate results, patients leave the appointment and return to work or normal activities. No downtime is necessary.
