Stark Plastic Surgery

In the Philadelphia area, Dr. Stark and his team at the StarkMD Plastic Surgery and Aesthetic Center have been helping patients to achieve their ideal nose through the use of dermal fillers for some time. Join us for a comprehensive consultation to discover if a non-surgical or liquid rhinoplasty could be the optimal treatment choice for you.

What is liquid rhinoplasty?

During a liquid rhinoplasty, also called a “non-surgical rhinoplasty” or “liquid nose job,” Dr. Stark employs the use of dermal fillers, such as Juvederm, Restylane, or others, to change the shape of the nose and improve the overall symmetry of the face.

Liquid rhinoplasty can achieve many of the same transformative effects as a surgical rhinoplasty, including changes in shape and straightness, in order to bring harmony to the facial features. Should a patient wish to “try out” a new nose shape prior to undergoing the time, pain, and expense of a surgical rhinoplasty, liquid rhinoplasty can be an excellent option.

What can a liquid rhinoplasty address?

Issues with the nose which may be corrected with liquid rhinoplasty include:

  • Asymmetry
  • Minor aesthetic issues
  • Too small tip
  • Humps on nose bridge
  • Hooked tip
  • Bumps or dips

The versatility of liquid rhinoplasty

Patients who wish to decrease the size of their noses may not be candidates for liquid rhinoplasty, but you may be surprised at the effectiveness of this solution for a variety of issues. Dr. Stark may be able to make the nose appear smaller through liquid rhinoplasty with adept adjustments to the shape of your nose.

During your comprehensive consultation, Dr. Stark will evaluate the current state of your nose in balance with your other features to create the most effective and efficient treatment plan possible for you.

How is a liquid rhinoplasty performed?

During liquid rhinoplasty, Dr. Stark skillfully injects dermal fillers into the nose using a delicate needle in order to create your new, more optimal nose shape. The best part: your results will be visible immediately.

Hyaluronic acid is the most common base for fillers chosen for liquid rhinoplasty, but Dr. Stark will always apply his knowledge and experience to ensure the best possible choice is made for your specific case.

A liquid rhinoplasty may be completed in less than an hour and involves an extremely minimal, nearly painless recovery period. No anesthetic is necessary during this procedure. It is very important, though, that your injector is knowledgeable on the anatomy when injecting the nose to keep complications to a minimum.

How long do the effects of a liquid rhinoplasty last?

The effects of a liquid rhinoplasty can be expected to last six to 12 months or longer at a time. It is important to understand that the change in size, straightness, or shape that you attain is not permanent. However, Dr. Stark can perform further injections in the future in order to consistently maintain your results.
